QuattroSimple - New custom CMSMS Theme

So after some time i finaly managed to get new Theme release done.
Whats special about it? I made some use of the new {cms_stylesheet} tag using smarty in Stylesheet what gave me the possibility of creating multicolored theme with a single stylesheet.
This means that QuattroSimple comes with four different colors (blue, green, black and orange) and you can switch the color of the theme by changing a single line in Stylesheet.

At the start of the Stylesheet you will find the code below, now if you want orange layout, simply enter value="orange"

Code: Select all

[[assign var="color" value="green"]]
To use this theme you will also have to install:
Gallery (used for slider in header)
Advanced Content (used for better overview in "edit page")
FormBuilder (if you want to use the form in the middle of the theme)

I would recommend that you first install Modules listed above and News templates included in the download file, after you have all set up you can simply import the theme.xml and everything should work.
Please read README_FRIST.txt!

A demo can be found here: http://www.i-arts.eu/quattro

Have fun! ;)

Hi verry nice theme,

Can you tell me how to apply the Gallery folder in the advanced content tab, i created a folder named "header" with 6 images,

I tried header, header/, Gallery/header, Gallery/header/

But nothing seems to work. The page shows but without the top image scroller

Thanks

I figured it out, it was the size of my images, I ajusted it now works, and for the folder, it was "/header" in my case

Hi,

Go to "Content -> Page -> Open some page"
1. Click on Header Options tab (if you installed AdvancedContent module)
2. Headerteaser: Enter + to activate slider
3. Enter Gallery Module foldername for Header Slideshow: Enter folder name, simply enter header if your existing Gallery has a folder named header
4. Save

@Admins "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached." ????

Great theme!

I have installed it and it works fine apart from a few issues which I would appreciate some help with.

The Gallery isn't showing any images, instead it has the message: Ups! Please enter Gallery folder name in the appropriate field or deactivate Slideshow.

This message appears in the css for your theme:

{if !empty($gfolder)}{Gallery template="cycleTeaser" dir=$gfolder number="6"}{else}<p style="color:#f00; font-size: 1.4em;"><strong>Ups! Please enter Gallery folder name in the appropriate field or deactivate Slideshow.</strong></p>{/if}

Which makes me think that I am not entering the gallery folder name correctly, but I have tried lots of different options with no success.

Also the 'Click to open' tab appears cut off when opened and the full contact page isn't visible.

I found http://www.solovey.biz/whilst searching for a solution - it has exactly the same problems that mine does.

Any ideas? I am quite new to CMSMS so there is a definite possibility that I have failed to install something properly or missed out an important step.

Thanks in advance.

Try this. Click on a page to edit.

Make sure you've selected Advanced Content as the Content Type.

If everything is installed correctly click on the "Header Option" menu tab.

Make sure "Header Teaser" has a "+" sign and not a "-" sign. No quotation marks.

Enter your selected gallery name.

Also make sure you have selected cycleTeaser as the template used by the gallery you created.

This should work. Let me know.

Thanks - the gallery is working now even though I did have these options set yesterday.

The only things different are that I reinstalled cmsms and put the images inside a folder within the Gallery folder - what do you enter if you want to display images from the main Gallery folder?

The contact field is still not displaying in full though...any ideas?

@fahrhadprm
Why on earth would you need logo psd file? All you need is replace QuattroSimple logo with your own which is saved as transaprent png file.

@Fremsley
this is some weird behavior you had there, could of been corrupted images or maybe there was some corrupt file in Gallery module or cms itself if problem was solved with reinstalling it.
Displaying all images from main folder wasn't planed here, as if i remeber right i have setup it up in template to display max of 5 images (page loading time) and as Gallery can also contain Subfolders this could also result in some errors.

What exactly is wrong with contact form or fields, is it only specific browser or do you have a live example?

Sorry for my late response, busy at the moment and running behind deadlines.

I think it could have been the image files, any way it is working now and looks great!

The contact form doesn't open fully in either FF oe IE. I found this page http://www.solovey.biz/ whilst searching for the Gallery problem which is displaying the issue.

One other small problem is with the close arrow on the contact form in IE only - it dosen't display properly once the form has slid open.

*Edit* Sorted this out: Edit the offending page > go to page options > Under Content Middle / Show sliding content area with Contact form change '-' to '+'

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

This is a very nice and powerfull theme, thanks.

Is there any solution for the opacity in the slider not working in IE?

Thanks - Evert

@fremsley it looks like there is an issue with form if only one box is used in the slide content, as it works in my test install. Regarding button possibly adding some z-index:99; or something in the stylesheet to .slideButton would help.

@Evert B. sorry i didn't bother to fully support IE6 as there are plenty professional themes out there offered for sale that dont even support IE6/7 and i actually only do it on client request for some months now :)
Sollution for slider would be http://www.dillerdesign.com/experiment/DD_belatedPNG/ download this script add it to /uploads/theme and include it in your template where i already included other scripts:

Code: Select all

<__script__ type="text/javascript" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.4/jquery.min.js"></__script>
{* js for Navigation *}
<__script__ type="text/javascript" src="uploads/theme/hoverIntent.js"></__script>
<__script__ type="text/javascript" src="uploads/theme/superfish.js"></__script>
{* cycle plugin for teaser slide and news scroller *}
{if ($teaser == "+") or ($snews == "+")}
<__script__ type="text/javascript" src="uploads/theme/jquery.cycle.all.min.js"></__script>
{/if}
<__script__ type="text/javascript">
{if $teaser == "+"}{* jquery cycle plugin functions, get loaded only if header slider/teaser is activated, see http://malsup.com/jquery for more parameters *}
{literal}
jQuery(function(){
$('.teaser').cycle({
    fx:     'scrollRight',
    speed:   600,
    timeout: 8000,
    next:   '#next',
    prev:   '#prev'
    });

$('.description').cycle({
    fx:     'fade',
    speed:   600,
    timeout: 8000,
    next:   '#next',
    prev:   '#prev'
    });
});
{/literal}
{/if}
</__script>
{* calling other functions for jQuery plugins used in template*}
<__script__ type="text/javascript" src="uploads/theme/functions.js"></__script>
{literal}
<!--[if IE 6]>
<__script__ src="uploads/theme/DD_belatedPNG.js"></__script>
<__script__>  DD_belatedPNG.fix('.pageTeaserOuter, img'); </__script>
<![endif]-->{/literal}
As you can see i added the code at the bottom of all other scripts, this should work, just check if your theme js paths are the same. Other option would be opening the shadow png and saving it with Adobe Fireworks as PNG8 or any other tool that supports it.

Sorry for my english google.
But I have a problem with the theme QuattroSimple.
I installed and followed the "READEME," but the gallery did not work.
The message "Oops Gallery Please enter folder name in the field or deactivate Appropriate Slideshow." Same as "Fremsley" and the solution was the same. But now the gallery is as if loading forever and no image appears.
Look: http://www.interacaost.com.br/capella2
What could it be?
