CMS Made Simple Forums

I'm just begining setting up some pages, I've just been going through the existing template pages supplied with CMSMS 13 and I notice that the two templates "Bulletmenu Vert 2 col" and "EllNav Horiz/Vert L 2col" the two templates with two columns, If I try to preveiw them from the Edit Template page the right hand column does not show, in its place I get in red:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/cvgb2/public_html/cmsmadesimple/lib/content.functions.php on line 483

Does this mean I can't have any pages with two columns?

The server is UNIX
