annoying css-problem in version 1.9.2

Post by Fuchs »

Well,
Am I the only one who has a visual problem with version 1.9.2?
I cannot see neither buttons nor hovered menu-items in the admin-area and during install.
It's a minor css-problem, I know. But nevertheless it is annoying. And for newbies I think it's really alarming: they never now, wether it is "OK" or "Cancel" or whatever what they press.

Happy new Year to all!

Have you cleared the site cache and your browser cache?

Sure I did.
More bad news instead: a friend checked what I saw on other computers / OS: same problem. So it's not my computer.
We installed 1.9.2 freshly on another host (hosteurope): the same problem
Crazy thing! :-\

New install, wishbone. And that's what I'm worried about because we have to migrate a bucket full of data to another hoster (Strato ...) and we would like to upgrade from 1.5.2 to 1.9.2

Have you tried switching to a different admin template?

Also, have you run the checksum option in the admin. Maybe some of the images didn't initially get uploaded correctly.
If all else fails, use a bigger hammer.

Hmm.. I've installed 1.9.2 several times and had no issues.

Check the CSS to see what the images are supposed to be. Then see if they exist.

Are there any front-end issues? If so, please post the URL.

The default admin-template works well (it must be a minor css-problem within the NCleanGrey-template and I can solve that)
But: even during install you never know where a button is and what you press.

I'll ignored that checksum-thing so far ... blame on me. I'll try that!
Thanks!

Wow, within e few minutes I learn more of the stuff neccessay than in a whole day: I'll check the image-thing, and no, there are no front-end issues. It's all back-end (and during installation)
I'll be back tomorrow.
Thanks a lot!
