1.9 - random logouts when editing content

When I edit content items (pages) in the admin panel, sometimes when I hit "submit" it logs me out without warning. The changes don't get saved. This usually happens on the 1st edit after a period of time. No other editable section (GCBs etc.) seems to behave in such a way.
I've never had this problem before 1.9. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
