How do I extend the maximum date for news further than 2010?

Hi,
I took over the management of a website that has been created with CMSMS and I'm still trying to figure some small things out.
Does anyone know why the maximum date I can select for a news message is 31 december 2010 and how I can extend this to later periods?
Thank you in advance,
Henry

what version of CMSMS are you using?
In News there is the option to NOT use expiration at all, but I can select 2025 in there...

The CMS MS version I'm using is 1.2.3 "Black Rock".
I know about the checkbox but I'd still like to be able to have expiration dates past 2010.
Thanks for your quick response Ronny.

Well, 1.2.3 is NOT supported anymore, so upgrading is advised...
Latest stable is 1.8.2.... and that has 2025 as end-year selection

there have been scads of updates since 1.2.3 - many new features, bug fixes, security enhancements, etc. RonnyK's advice to upgrade is right on.
if you can't or don't want to, your only option will be to hack the News module to edit the picklist. As always, hacking source code makes your site unsupportable (which doesn't matter much in this case, because you're already running an unsupported version...)
Were it I, I would upgrade, since the latest version includes the feature you want (and much more).
