Multilingual CMSms: when?

I know, "when" is a taboo question...  ;) Anyway. I have to build a multilingual site. I tried the beta multilingual version. It works great, but it needs to much hacking. I have to decide right now if I go with MODx, that will implement to a multilingual CMS under 6 months, or CMSMS, living with the bugs until a stable multilingual version is released. Are you able to tell me when does the stable multilingual version be released? Is it a question of 2 months, 6 months, 2 years?

Thanks!

Hmm.  This is tricky indeed.

Originally, this was slated as a post 1.0 feature.  Then katon did a decent job of hacking it in there to some degree.  However, my plans for multilanguage were a little grandiose and I kept putting it off.

If I had to take a total stab in the dark, and depending on my schedule for the summer, I bet 6 months is not unreasonable.  I've been kind of thinking in the back of my head that I should make the plans a little less grand so we have something usable sooner.

I'll talk to the rest of the group and see what they think.

Hi Ted,

Thanks for the reply! I'm glad to read that this gorgeous cms will soon be implemented by the most needed feature in the open source cms world!

Cheers,
