So been dabling a bit with this amazingly versatile CMS and have managed to build a nice site for a friend. still some tweaks to do in i.e but here it is for all to see.. credit to this CMS for making me look good! It's so powerful and yet easy to understand and add dynamic modules. Couldn't find a decent front and back end bookings calendar tht I understood so had a script from phpscripts for the Availability Calendar.
See for yourself

Lots to do but thought I'd post what Iv'e done so far!

Nice works, it's clean and focusing on Brand.
Error:
IE7 needs some fixing, see screenshot.
Fix you tags, in xhtml you should close these with />
could be improved:
Header: background doesn't look that good on wider screen, should blend it better, see screenshot
Content: looks out of place when on top there is grey box and suddenly it cointunes in white content area, either use grey box all the way down or change the top part to white

Sidebar: the area with cycling images should have fixed height since if cycling from an image to another that doesn't have the same size your content jumps up and down, i don't think you want a jumping pageĀ

Hey uniqu3,
Would you happen to know how I could rework the background graphic to sit correctly in IE7?
It has a position:absolute on it I think, not sure if that's what's causing the issue.. I've cleaned up the banner blend... and scaled all the featured sidebar images down to around the same size.
Plus the greyinsh box on the main content block now makes sense and it contains the text and images much better.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Can't say much for some reason my developer toolbar in IE dosn't work so can't test what i think could be
But as first you have few css errors
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/vali ... erer=cmsms
Here for example code was commented once but now it's not but you missed the closing */
#header h1 a{text-indent:-2000px;display:block;line-height:1.5em;width:8em;}*/
The positioning is for sure your ie7 issue, i also don't understand why you positioned it that way, you could of had repeating image for body tag in css and the white glow could be used as background in the header sidebar or what id there was.
Another issue you have is text-indent, you want to hide text due to image you use as logo but text-indent:-1000px; is not enough, use something like -6666px or -9999px (i think some older opera version had issues with -9999) this could also be your ie7 problem it doesn't play well in combination of absolute positioned elements and so on.

moonoo,
You probably have tried it already, but the color of availability in the calendar on page 'Locum srvices' doesn't seem to be the same as the color of the title and the word Orthotics on the left.
Nice work on '
http://www.thebodymechanic.co.uk/what-is-orthotics' with regards to the read more parts. It is standard as far as I remember, but it is not seen much.
Is there a reason that there is a tooltip on the hyperlinks to detail of the news? The tooltip is exactly the same as the news title.
Nice clean site!
What I don't understand is what is behind the 'referer=cmsms' part in the hyperlink. Well, I do understand that some statistic is build with the referal cmsms. Is it a module? UDT? Is it something for the community?

Thanks guys, will look into these tomorrow.
This was a joint built site and I'm doing some clean up and neatify of code.. so all suggestions are very much appreciated.
Availability Cal needs addressing with regards to colour. Noted.
The BG issue needs looking at as I do feel there should be a simpler solution here..
Tooltips..hmmm I'll look into that.
Thanks for the comments.. always good to get feedback here. Good, professional, honest opinions

Thanks again.
Edit: Duketown, the referer is for me to isolate any visits coming from this link. SO I don't count them in my analytics to give to the client. Potential visits from here are not likely to be customers. It also ads as a means to measure interest to this post in a quick way.
