Can server connection pose security issues?

Hi:
most of my clients are running cmsms v1.8.2 on a server with
Apache version 2.0.63
PHP version 5.2.14
MySQL version 5.0.91-community
in a recent conversation with my host, i was informed that he gets a security warning stating that the server connection is kept open for 7 minutes even though Apache is set to 15 sec. This does not affect loading of the pages, just connection time and poses security risks. Has this ever been mentioned regarding cmsms? Currently this is happening with one particular website (obadiahlyrics.com) and I don't know why.
The other issue is that the IP of the most recent visitor is the IP of the site itself. That seems odd to me. I'm not well versed in the hosting side of things but thought I'd ask a question then forward the post URL to the host.
Any information to put his mind at ease would be appreciated. thank you.
