I'm using the old photo albums module since they already have everything built using that and it's not in the schedule right now to switch it to a better module.

If you click on the link above and then scroll down, you'll see that they are displaying their albums inside their posts, but instead of having one thumbnail for the album to click on which opens the list of thumbnails, ALL the thumbnails are showing right on the page. 

This is what they are using:  {cms_module module='album' albums='14'} .

How can I make it so it shows just one thumbnail for the album on the page and then when someone clicks, they are taken to the list of thumbnails?

Album defaults to that view if you call only one specific album with albums='14' if you want to have it work like it most times does, as in one thumb to go to the full set, then you need to put them in categories and call the category each time instead of the single album, categories='1' 1 being the first category...
