I am having a problem with the frontend user management module and was hoping somebody could help,

I want to give my client access to only one part of this module and that is the 'Users' tab, this is so they can grant users with logins, sounds easy huh?

I set the client up as an admin, and while editing the admin group permissions I noticed there was no option to check/uncheck add FrontendUser Users however there was an option for Modify FrontEndUser Properties.

then as a tester I gave the user access to 'Add Users' I noticed the user was then able to add users within the frontend user management module however they also had access to the global 'Add Users' section which I definitely do not want them to have.

If you could shed some light on this it would be most appreciated

I guess you first should setup a different new group i.e. "FEU_Admin", then play a little bit with all the possible permissions offered by FEU. And then make your client member of this new group. You might find a permissions combination that will fulfill your needs...

Thanks very much for the reply, I did as you said however the problem sill presents itself,

I just need to know if there is any way to remove/hide the 'Add Users' tab from the nav but still keep the Users tab from within the User Management Module. In order for them to appear you must give the user permission to access the 'Add User' section.

Any idea?

I only know of a User tab and at the bottom a Add User link. If you want that one not to be displayed I'm afraid you will need to hack the code which isn't good practice nor a good idea...

There is a preference within FEU for "Use Front-end User specific permissions?".

I believe this is what you're looking for. This makes the FEU permissions separate from the Admin permissions.
