cost to get someone to make pretty urls for Products module

write a paid feature request to the plugins author!

The author would be good person to do this and I will email him, but other people who have done this please email me.  I would try myself but I am on a deadline and I am happy to pay someone who can do it.

The Products module already has pretty urls and actually (as of recent versions) allows for you to better customize the output of the urls.

I know I sponsored some of the pretty url enhancements

You have to get Pretty URL's working in CMSMS and it will automatically work in Products. You can check out the Wiki for documentation on how to enable pretty urls in CMSMS.
