Downloading XML files in modules

Post by dizzyfish »

Hi

I am feeling kinda dense here, I am trying to download the XML files, not the .zip files in the modules area.

Every browser, on windows, mac and linux so far give me a page showing code. Code I can not use it seems as I tried to cut and paste it. I used to be able to download the XML files... but no more?

Anyone tell me what the hell I am not doing right?

I am disgusted... did a search and find no answers.

thanks

Right click on the xml file.
Select Save target as.

HI

Yes, in Firefox it is "save link as" and I tried it and get errors like this one for TinyMCE:

Error parsing XML file. Please make sure you are uploading a .xml file and not a .tar.gz or zip file.

And this:

DTD Version missing or incompatible in the XML file

From a gallery template. I figure I am not installing the template for Gallery correctly, and I will get to that. For TinyMCE I did check the overwrite box.

I can see if another module will work, as TinyMCE is perhaps not treated like other modules and that may be my mistake.

At one time I was able to left click a XML and it would download with no problems. I was wondering if there was some setting in my browser download software, or if I should try another browser. Anyway, I am very tired right now and not thinking very clearly... I will come back to this in a day or so and try again.

Thanks
