Help with Animated GIF

Hello all,
I have an animated gif which I have inserted on my website but it doesn't want to animate....
It seems to work once only in Chrome (then when you reload the page it doesn't animate), once only in firefox (then when you reload the page it doesn't animate) and not at all in Safari!
Is there something I need to do with an animated gif in CMSMS to make it work properly?
Your urgent advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
paloma

Animated gifs are just that... animated gifs.
There is nothing special with CMSMS that would affect the animated gifs. It could be that your browser is caching them in the state that they already looped. Try searching to see if you can adjust your template to not cache the gif

I honestly have no had a whole lot of experience with animated gifs... never had the need to use them.
On top of that I've never had the need to use no-cache, but you may check out this article:

You may also want to double check the gif itself and see if it is set to loop indefinitely. If not then it will only run through the frames once no matter what else you do with it. So go back to the tool that you created it in and preview to make sure it loops as required, before messing around too much with the page or template settings.
Regarding setting the page to not cache, you can do it in the Options tab when editing the page. It is a checkbox towards the top of the tab.

Superchub - The issue is on page reload, so regardless of the looping settings from the graphic software it should play at least once on reload.
Also, the CMSMS caching feature doesn't cache images, just templates/css. The caching that I was discussing would have to be browser related and caching the image itself.

Thank you all! I managed to sort it out. It was the gif itself which needed to be optimised as forever.
