Calender and OS Commerce install problems

Hi,

I have uploaded CMSMS 0.12.2. On a shared server running RedHat linux 7.3, Apache 1.3.27, PHP 4.3.10, MySQL 3.23.56.

Admin panel works fine. I have uploaded several models all of which seem to work ok, but if I upload Calender everything disapears and I get:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class calendar in /home/cvgb2/public_html/cmsmadesimple/modules/Calendar/Calendar.module.php on line 21

If I remove it it all reverts to normal, any suggestions on why this is happening?

Also if upload the OS Commerce (I've done this twice now) it doesn't appear in the Admin panel to activate/deactivate, I'm I doing something wrong here.

One last thing, there are xml dcuments with some of the moduls do I upload these with the moduls?

I've been looking at a lot of CMS programs this looks like the easiest/most flexible of the ones I have tried so far, as long as I can get it all working  ;)

Thanks for your help.

Les

Hi Les

sometimes the XML files are out of date, i've always found the zip/tar to be more up to date.... it's ... use one or the other..
just a couple quick  ?'s
how did you upload the module... did you unzip it first, then FTP the folder to your site into the Module folder..
just asking to be clear...

Hi Mark,

The files are downloaded on to my Mac using Mac Os X 10.4.6 they will automatically unzip I then upload the unzipped by ftp with Fetch 5.0.4, on the Calander module I tried Auto, text and Binery in case one of the settings was upsetting the uploads.

Hope this helps.

Mark,

thanks for your suggestions, in the end I removed CMSMS completly and reloaded it. Calander uploaded no problem using Fetch this time, I tried to upload the zipped file via the built in upload button on the Admin panel doesn't seem to work. I'm still trying to get Oscommerce to appear in the Admin panel, I'm got a stage closer by removing the "-1" from the file name, I got the message below.

I found an earlier thread about getting Oscommerse to appear and work:-

"this erro occurred after oploaded and opened modules pager:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in /var/www/t/tibe.nl/HTML/modules/Oscommerce/Oscommerce.module.php on line 304

I removed the "" and it showed correct."

I did the above, and got this instead:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_VARIABLE, expecting ',' or ';' in /home/cvgb2/public_html/cmsmadesimple/modules/Oscommerce/Oscommerce.module.php on line 304

I also noticed that the guy who got it to work also had a futher problem:

FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!

Can it be used if register_globals is disabled?

Not sure what this means, but has anyone else who is not a programmer type got the Oscommerse modul to work correctly. It's important that I have an intergrated shopping cart within the site I'm building.

Thanks

Les
