Catalog module & missing thumbnails

Hi all,
My first post for my first CMSMS site - have arrived here from Mambo and WebsiteBaker and just have to say looks good, will try to use this more in future.....

Anyway my problem is to do with the Catalog module. I am running latest CMSMS 0.12.2 and also the latest Catalog module. All seemed to be okay until I actually populated my Catalogue. The category thumbnails sometimes show up and sometimes dont, if I hit refresh different ones show and different ones dont show.

Is this something else that anyone else has come across?

Is this a GD thing and if so would Image Magick perhaps help?

Would there be anyway to hack it so thumbnails are read directly and not converted via GD?

All the rest seems okay its just this last hurdle which might make me have to throw in the towel  >:(

Heres a url for anyone interested in helping, see if it happens for you as well

Also if anyone else has experience with the TrueType module Ive got it running okay apart from the active menu item which doesnt show in the truetype font but the default fault, any ideas where to change this?

Thanks a heap

Jeremy

Welcome to CMSMS Jeremy ... don't throw it in yet  please...

where did the thumbnails come from?  did you make them yourself? your source doesn't call out thumbs...

thanks for the quick reply.

I assumed that cataloger cretaed the thumbs - I didnt do anything but assign an image for the category.

Did they all show for you?

very randomly, starts with a full page ,refresh, some missing...
my routine for thumbs is to upload FTP to the uploads/images folder, then goto Content » Image Manager and view the img.s' once and it will make thumbs auto. you won't be able to see them in Content » Image Manager view but they show up everywhere else, when you need to call them, Album, insert in page, etc. etc. and should show up when you work with the cataloger...
