Products module - show two categories using checkboxes & submit button

Is there a way to use a tickbox (or even tickbox / dropdown combo) and submit button to show products within more than one category from the products module?
If a product is associated with two categoryies (lets say 'locationSouth' & 'large'), I want the user to tick a 'locationSouth' and / or 'large' tickbox, and then click 'submit' for it to show the list of results.
Is this even possible? I'm just not sure where to start?!?!?
