:)New to the fold, did a couple of searches but not coming up with what I need.

Is there a method to identify the template that the default "news" is using? Under Content>>News, there are multiple templates with samples of each, but is any of these being used?

Thank you very much for any help.

Hello rutherfordms.
Welcome to the forum :)

The used news template is assinged to the news module when it is called in your page template using certain parameters.
I'm sure it would be a big help to you if you first read the demo content and the module help. (Extensions->Modules there is a "help-link" for each module)
And maybe just take a look in the default templates how the news module is called and what params are used. (just search for '{news' or '{cms_module module="news"' you will see what i mean ;) )
I believe it will make many things clear to you.

If you then still have questions just ask.

Have fun with CMSms :)

If you call News with the summary parameter, it will use the default Summary template.  If you click on a summary item to view detail, it will use the default Detail template, etc.
