Hi all.

I have the latest CMS made simple installed on a server and need to show a client a demo version that he can play with and change some text in the editor, preview the changes  BUT NOT actually be able to save any changes...I have looked in the ‘Group Permissions’ but cannot find a setting.

Maybe some of you can let me know how you show your clients a working demo without having to set everything back again manually after they have messed about?

Thanking you all in advance  :)
Jeremy

I have my own template as the demo and was hoping to be able to use it?

You can work with your own installation in two ways, if you've installed it yet:

1. Make a complete backup and after using it restore this backup
2. Install a new version in an subfolder - you can delete it afterwards (don't forget to name the prefix for tables other than in your installation)

Then you can use your own templates as long as you want.

Thanks for getting back...was hoping there was a setting somewhere that allows one NOT to save work etc...shame but I have taken your suggestion on board.  ;)
