CMSMS and Multilanguage

Hi all,

I was wondering, in the roadmap CMSMS is supposed to be multilanguage in version 2.2.
We now have 1.7.1 and a MLE version of it.

I tried the MLE version and it is functional, what will happen when 2.2 comes, will it
be completely different from the MLE fork? Will I be able to take over the content and design
easily? When will 2.2 be there approximately?

Could some of the developers that have a bit more insight, give his or her opinion to this
please. Being dutch like Ronnie, living in Austria near the Czech border I have to do with
the problem of too many languages so a bit more info would be utterly nice.

Kind regards,
Jan

Here are answers http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 471.0.html

There is only one certain thing about mle - when time comes, dev-team will be informed about experience of using CMSms-mle-fork.

Hi Peciura,

I had already read that. It is not an answer.
I hope that one of the dev-team has an idea of what the final MLE incorporation
is going to look like.

I have a customer that needs a CMS MLE which I will install but I am
curious because of the statement in the roadmap.
I could still build this site new but a prospect has a large site and if he
becomes a customer I would like to have a bit more idea about the way
cmsms is developing towards being multilangual.

Kind regards,
Jan

Thanks Calguy,

for the link, the point is clear.
Now my question remains, is there an idea about when an "official" multilanguage CMSMS will be there?

What could I do to help? Testing or analysing or whatever. I am not a great developer
but am able to write simple programms in PHP.

I will however use the MLE in the time until CMSMS has the multi language feature, the site
for which I need it, is small and can be converted manually later.

edit
the site will be converted to "core" soon, after discussing this with my fellow dutchman
it will be better.

Kind regards,
Jan
