CMS Made Simple Forums

Hi,

I'm a brand new user to CMS MS.  The install went perfectly fine as far as no errors, all database processes done etc.  The initial CMS demo screens appear all fine.  But when I click the link to go to the admin stuff, there's nout there - nothing at all - blank page.

I'm running CMS MS on a Win23k server, PHP 4.3.4, MySql 4.0.23.  Client IE ver 6.

I can navigate about PHP but not at all confident with it.

Any help appreciated.

Problem found I think.  Whilst installing another PHP based system, session.save_handler was set to user - I'd thought I'd changed it but I guess not.  The other system started working and now does CMSMS.

I cannot get into Admin, if correct user/pass are used it returns to same Admin login, but if any incorrect user/pass is used it gives user/pass error.

I found this in php.ini

[Session]
; Handler used to store/retrieve data.
session.save_handler = files

Is it set correct?

I do not know PHP.

Well my admin area appears fine now, so I'm not sure what your problem might be.  The session hanlder should be set to files.  Hve you restarted IIS (if using windows) for the php.ini changes to take effect?
