Does anyone have a really large (in the thousands of pages) CMS made simple site? Maybe this is not the right CMS for a really large site... what do you all think?

About 5000 pages as long as you do not "expand all pages". The tree page list is the limiting factor on a server with low memory. I had the expansion fail on less than 100 pages on two cmsms installations on one server (second one did not get enough memory).

I remember in my early time here I asked and was told 5000 or so. Like mentioned expanding gets slow and may be problematic at low 3 digits (on an excellent host but not dedicated server). Even then I had to do things like delete/rename folders of unused modules and increase PHP memory to 64 or even 128MB to be able to load the contentlist.

Thanks everyone. Clearly my site is too large. Sigh. I really prefer CMS made simple.

Is there a CMS like this one with smarty and a cataloger type thing that would scale up to 10,000 pages or so?

If anyone has any ideas on ow to get a large site working in CMS made simple I have a post about that here:
