hello,
when a user registers to my site, after the sending button validation, an error appears:
"You cannot register to become a member of this user group".
So when i go to admin panel > users/groups > self registration mod > settings,
there is an option (THAT CANNOT BE CHANGED):
"Absolutely forbid users to register to these groups": "Members". (no other choice whereas i created other groups).
please help me ,

I use
SelfRegistration 1.3.2
FrontEndUsers 1.8.2
and everything is OK: I can see all of FEU groups in the list of "Absolutely forbid users to register to these groups", can select or deselect (ctrl+mouse click) them. The users can register to groups that are not forbidden.
Try to update those modules.

ok I fixed this problem, but there's another problem: when a user registers , after the sending button validation, a white page and a 404 error appears:
"Not Found. The requested URL was not found on this server."
do you know why??

In admin panel in Preferences tab of SelfRegistration empty the following fields:
PageID/Alias to redirect to after registration is complete
and
PageID/Alias to redirect to after verification step is complete
and submit.

wonderfull!!! it worked!
thank you Vilkis , it was in front of my eyes but i was not able to see it

during all this time, i've installed other CMS like Joomla : it took me 5 days to understand and build a menu (that dont work correctly yet) and explore some of the numerous capacities of this CMS.
And I tried DUPRAL, not so really easy to manage and with which i found problem with my themes.
So i can say that with CMS simple it took me 5 days to pratically build my site in a cool, simple environnement and with a great design. But i want to continue to practice Joomla to see advantages it could give more.
bye.
