Best modules for restaurant review site

Afternoon, hope you're all enjoying your weekend?

I'm looking at setting up a restaurant review site for my town and I was wondering what modules, or combination thereof, people think would work best? I've used Calguy's UserDirectory before on a couple of sites and I think it can achieve most of what I want. However, the CompanyDirectory seems quite capable too.

Some specific questions:

- With CompanyDirectory, is it easily possible to change urls from (roughly) domain.com/companies/1/17 to domain.com/restaurants/category/restaurant-name?

- Does CompanyDirectory have and way of working like/with FrontEndUsers, so, for example, a restaurant could login and update their details?

- CompanyDirectory has hierarchies, would these be a logical way to divide up restaurants from take-out establishments (with cuisine as a Category)?

Thanks for your time,

Deak

I think you will want:

a) CGExtensions
b) FrontEndUsers
c) CustomContent
d) CompanyDirectory
    - Yes, authorized FrontEndUsers can add/edit/delete upto the maximum number of company records you specify.
e) CGFeedback
    - Allows ratings, and text for frontend users
f) CGFeedMaker (optional RSS support).

Cheers Calguy.

Is it possible to make the URL more friendly as with your blog module? For example, currently CompanyDirectory does:

companies/2/17

And I'd like:

restaurant/name

Thanks,

Deak

Hi ZanJay, the restaurant review is a personal project and not one I've been able to give much time to. However, I recommend that you check out a site made by Simon which makes heavy use of CGBlog to create similar style pages.
