Form Browser exports corrupt XLS.

Hello and good day.  I have installed Form Builder and Form Browser.  Both seem to work fine.  I can see the records that are submitted via the contact form when I administrate in Form Browser.

The issue that I am having is that the XLS is corrupt when I export.  I've tried Excel viewer, and I've uploaded to Google Docs.  Both fail to recognize the file, or cite it as corrupt.

I have completed a thorough search of the forum, but have not found anything related to this issue.  Any suggestions?

Besides using the provided export functionality via Form Browser (XLS) is there another automated function or module that I can set up for the end user so that they can extract the data in Form Browser?  ...that is, if I cannot find a resolution to the above issue?

I have completed another search through the forum.  I have also uninstalled / reinstalled the module, this time using the file manager's unzip functionality so nothing was lost via ftp.  The system works the same.  Any suggestions?

I have ensured all files are present.  Not sure if there are any other steps that I can take.

Essentially there are records ready to export.  The function seems to work, until you attempt to open the file.

I have yet to resolve this issue since 2009. Is there anyone who can assist me. I have tried this over several installations and cmsms versions.

I changed the file type to csv and it worked for Google Docs, but the fields are not separated in the excel file. How is the managed?
