How to use Tags downloaded from the forge?

How do I er..."install" one of the tags (such as Random Quote) that are available in the CMS forge for download?
Sorry, I just haven't been able to figure out how to make use of these files.

Unzip it and copy it to plugin folder - that's all. Then you will see it in admin panel on menu extensions - tags. A click on help will says you how to use your favourite tag

Thanks cyberman! Still, it doesn't seem to work for me. I am trying the "Random Image" tag. I uploaded it to plugins, it looks just like every other function.xxx file and has same pernissions, etc. -- but it doesn't show on the admin panel at all.
Is there another step I've missed?
-- update: Actually, I tried to include the tag {random_image} per the instructions, to see if it would work anyway, but it threw a smarty error.

Thank you, and Never Mind. I got it to work. There was a registered bug that required a rename of this particular tag. I just discovered the buglists for these in the development area!
