File not writable! config.php
This file may not exist yet. If it does not, you should create an empty file with this name. Please also ensure that this file writable by the web server process.

This file has been created and given permission 777; I have also tried 666 still getting error
all help appreciated

I thought it needed set to 444 after installation? Documentation says 666 during installation so that it's writable.

Ohh, duhh  :-[
Yes, you are absolutely right! I wasn't thinking straight  :-\

@adamvasco
The new site is on a subdomain, is this folder writeable?
Is there perhaps a .htaccess file in the folder?
Is the folder/file group and user the same?
...

Grtz. Rolf  :)

Ahum, happens to me sometimes too  ;D

Can you create a temporary admin login for me and pm me these?
I can explain and let you try, but a quick look for me costs me less time  ;)
And I can (try too) explain later.

Regards, Rolf

I have found the problem, Adam...
It's wasn't only me with a bad day  :D
Your config file was named: config.php.  <- Note the point at the end of the name.
I deleted the point and you can install the cms now.

Have fun with CMSms, Rolf  :)
