Strings suddently missing in admin

I'm experiencing a rather strange problem with a site that has been working perfectly for about a year now. Some of the text strings seem to be missing in some core modules, for example FileManager.

I haven't changed anything or installed new modules, and I checked if the language files are in place (and with correct permissions). Everything seems to be in order, and I don't get any error messages - the text pieces are simply missing (tab headers etc)

I suspect the web host might have updated something - any ideas about what I should look after? ???

Could your host have moved your site to another server and not told you? It's happened to me numerous times. In which case config.php will need updating.

Log into your hosts control panel and see if you can see the server path in there. Alternatively, create a new install in a sub folder, which will auto detect the root path. Then you can see if it's what you're expecting it to be from your current config settings.

I have the same problem that strings missing in core modules, like News and Filemanager (se the attachment)

I have tried with a news installation in a different folder to check the root path at my host, and it's the same.

I'm still running MLE 1.2.3 "Black Rose" - I dont have time to upgrade now, anyone have a quick fix for this problem.

Regars.

Have you tried reuploading the language files?

Hi Nullig,

Did try to upload the language files for FileManager, News, Printing and for Admin, but didn't solve the problem.
