I have created an html newsletter but when I send it by email to my test email it has absolute referencing in it. Usually a figure A with macron over it.
A text version also displays a small numer of these references.
How do I fix it? Coding as follows:

Hi Rod  -  although I couldn't see a link to an image within the code you posted, I assume that's what your referring to? Relative links changing to absolute? This needs to happen in order for recipients of your newsletter to see the images you're referring to. I assume if you're lnking to a page then it may start as a relative link, but also get changed to absolute, although I haven't tried that myself.

If I've missed the point somethere, let me know.

this is an example of what appears in the newsletter once received by email
"In this issue" is boxed then I get a series of A's with the macrons over the top

OK Rod  -  I have an idea. You need to open your newsletter message as though you were editing it. Then select the HTML view. Navigate to where you see those offending characters in the email and you'll likely find some extra unwanted code such as there. Delete it and then try sending it again. I'm not sure about the 'boxed' bit you refer to though....

Rod - one other things to check is to make sure in preferences (within NMS) you have the character set set to: utf-8. If not you will likely see funny strange characters.

thanks for the heads up on the character set as that has worked with the strange letter issue.
I didnt have any image in that original code but have inserted one and the newsletter comes out with a blank square with a red x in the top left corner. I'm not sure that this a NMS issue or my browser
