First of all, I would like to say hi to everyone, I just started using CMSMS and love it.

That being said, I have a question.

I've downloaded a module and it's currently on my hard drive. My question is (in step-by-step form please) how do I take the tar.gz and unzip it? I have FTP and a Linux server.

This method uses 7-Zip.
1) First, You need an unzipping program compatible with .tar.gz files.  I recommend 7-Zip.  You can get it at http://www.7-zip.org/.  For a windows system download either (I think).  Then install. 

2) Once that's done, right click on the .tar.gz file, select 7-Zip, and select open archive.

3) Then you have the file browser open.  Double click on the file. You should get a screen with just one folder.  Click extract, select where you want to extract to and, hey presto! It's done!
