[Solved!] Admin UI changed to plain html after module install!!! Help!

Hi,
I'm super new at this... I downloaded and installed CMSMS to my web server after creating a database (for the first time!). I played around with uploading some templates and adding some plugins and a calender module...It was all going soooo smoothly until I tried to install CGExtensions 1.15 thru the module manager....
PLEASE NOTE: I had just tried to install the CGBlog module...This failed and I was qued to install CGSimpleSmarty 1.4 and CGExtensions 1.15 before installing the CGblog module...It was directly after clicking on the download/install link for CGExtensions 1.15 that the admin UI changed to plain html....It looked as though it lost it's link to it's css file?
I refreshed several times, closed my browser and revisited to no avail...even tried replacing (ftp) the css file from my hardrive.
I'm running CMS Made Simple 1.6.6. I'm using PHP 4.x, and MySQL 4.1 (I think). This is all working with Apache? running on Linux.
Thanks in advance for any help!
