Editing pages - can't access from some machines?

Hi,

Hope someone can shed some light on this.

I've built a site for a friend using 1.6.3 running on a shared hosting account with Php 5.2.6, MySQL 5.0.81 Community and Apache 2.2.10

From my machine, I can log into the Admin pages and edit page content with no problems. The strange thing is that from my frineds PCs (laptop and desktop) I can log into the Admin section, but the browser hangs when I attempt to edit a page (just sits at loading).

I appreciate that this is more than likely something to do with my friend's computers as opposed to CMSMS but I wonder if anyone has experienced anything similar or has a view on what part of the process might be causing the hiccup?

I did turn off the AV software (NOD32) and tried using both Chrome and IE8 to access the admin screens with the same result. I also moved security settings to low in both browsers, but it didn't help.

I did also try my pc via my friend's network and it worked perfectly.

Any clues what might be causing this?

Thanks

Hi Mr_Dee
Welcome at the CMSMS forum
Any clues what might be causing this?
No, I'm sorry...
But I have seen it before once at the forum, can't find the topic thought...  :-[
We never found the solution then. I thought it solved itself somehow. :-\

Just to be on the save side with CMSMS you can check the System Information and repair any yellow ! or red X
And perhaps Clear Cache at Site Admin >> Global Settings >> Advanced Setup.

Regards, Rolf

Hi Rolf,

Thanks for your suggestions - still experiencing this issue.

From reading various posts in the forum, I get the impression that this problem is perhaps linked to the editor not loading due to a clash with the AV software.

I'll repost when I find a resolution!

Cheers
