TinyMCE - scroll bars disappear if I use full view followed HTML viewing??

Hi everyone,

I have an odd problem whereby if I use the TinyMCE editor in full screen mode, followed by opening the HTML viewer, only the whitespace for the HTML viewer is visible and the scroll bars for the whole window disappear - thus meaning that I have no way to shut the HTML viewer!  (i.e. the "Update"/"Cancel" options for the HTML editor below the edit box, and also the little cross for closing the editor above the edit box both can no longer be viewed).

Is there a way to retain the scroll bars?  Or to otherwise shut the HTML editor??  (currently the only way that I can do this is to shut the whole webpage and then open it up again - not the most efficient method!!).

In case it's useful to know, I'm using CMSMS v1.6

Many thanks for reading this and to anyone who can help!

Cheers,
Zaneta

Simple, don't use it in full screen mode...

Would be nice if there was a way to close the HTML editor if one has forgotten that one is in full screen mode when one opens the editor...

Is there a way to close the HTML editor using say a control or function key?

Thanks :-)

I've never used it before, I looked at mine in full screen mode and it works fine, You might want to just try a bunch of key strokes, none of the buttons have underlined letters, if I need access to the html I just tick the on/off button for tiny...

Hi there,

Thanks very much for continuing to follow this up :)

You gave me a hint in that the problem doesn't occur for you - in doing a quick test just now, I've found that if I view the HTML editor after first choosing full screen, in IE8, the problem occurs, but in Firefox the small cross at the top of the editor remains visible so I can still close the editor :-) (though Update/Cancel at the bottom of the screen remain unreachable).  That's very useful to know :-)

I'm still to find a way to close the editor in IE8 - gradually progressing through testing out various keys to see if they work...!  If anyone knows straight off, please feel welcome to let me know!

Thanks very much for your help :)

Cheers,
Zaneta
