Frontend user module + custom content

I just installed these two modules, and I was wondering if someone could direct me to an explanation of how they work. I created custom content for a page, and it has a login screen.  I tried to log in with the admin's username and pw, but it did not work.

Are the groups in the menu of the admin panel different from the groups in frontend user management? What are properties used for?  If frontend user management groups are different from regular groups, how do I add users to the frontend management group?

okay, the frontendusers module is only for managing frontend users, it is completely separate from the backend system.  That's why you couldn't log in given your admin username and password.

Properties, are essentially "fields", like name, address, city, state, zip, etc,  and you must define the properties and associate them with groups.

Then create a user account, and assign it to a group.

Then you put the frontend users tag on your page and you should be able to log in.
