Hi I am about to move the cmsms files on the server from a sub folder to root, the only doc I can find is about moving actual servers, what is the best way for me to move the files to root?

Move all folders/files, change config.php to reflect path changes, say it's mysite.com/subfolder remove /subfolder from any place you see it in config.php...
