host disabling register_globals

Got an email from the host for a client's site. The host is disabling register_globals on all of their servers due to potential security risks. The site is running CMSMS 1.4.1 and PHP Version 5.1.6. What will happen when they disable register_globals? (They're doing this on 1 November. Just got the email today. sheesh.) Anything I should do?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Aimee

Hi aimeegeek

Welcome to the forum.
The site is running CMSMS 1.4.1
Anything I should do?
Yes, you should upgrade to 1.6.6  :D
What will happen when they disable register_globals?
Shouldn't be a problem.
I think if you look at your System Information that you have a yellow '!' or a red 'X' at the line PHP register_globals.
Tomorrow it will be gone...
