I'm completely new to PHP. Can somebody help me with some idiot level instructions on how to cure two problems highlighted in the 'Checking permissions..' web page.
There are two rows with two red crosses...
*Checking for GD library
The GD library is mandatory for some modules and functionality.
* DB drivers
No DB drivers found
TIA

I'm asking here as I'm assuming that the 'CMS Made Simple' windows installer includes a PHP element, and that it should work out of the box, no?

No, this is a CMS system, for web sites. If you don't know how to set it up on windows then you shouldn't be trying.

This is a package for experienced web development professionals.... we don't provide a windows 'installer'.
Please ask for support from the place where you downloaded your php package.
Once your system matches all of the requirements of CMSMS, and you have read all of the instructions, including the rules for posting in this forum, and have a well worded, well researched question, we will be happy to help you.

Wamp is web and data base servers in one package.
When you have default page "It is working !" running in your web bowser, you can consider using any content management system.
