Folders and Sub-folders create and edit pages

Well, after checking the instructions and forums for hours I don't see anything clear to explain how to do this so there it goes.

CMSMS ver. 1.6.6
php ver. 5.2.9
database ver. 5.0.81
Apache 2.2.3

I installed the cmsms with sucess.
But I can't figured out how to design pages in subfolders.
Why I need this?
I have clients that are using my hosting for their sites. They have different domain names and I have their hosting as sub folders under my root.
I installed cmsms in my root. My idea is to control all the editing of all the sub-folders (clients websites) and give them user access to edit their own sites without having access to my root or other sites (sub-folders)

So, all the sub-folders have their own sub-folders where I stored images and other stuff.
I can't edit any page already made that is not in root? I can't figure out how.
Does this program support sub-folder editing and creation??
I read about pretty urls. Now I don't get it. What is that? a tab? a module? a script?
I followed the directions for the config.php file and htaccess and made the changes. Now I don't see any different on the gui.
How do I know if changes worked? Ohh I cleared the catched too.

So my questions remains...

1- Does this program offer sub-folder creations and pages and reads images from sub-sub-folders?
Ex: www.mysite.com/client-site/images/

If it does, please explain to me how like a 5 yo cuz I don't get it.

2- And does this product offer limited access for users to sub-folders? So each client can log only to their own folder (website).
I see many pages I can create but all in the root folder. Makes no sense to me...

So please explain how to create or edit pages in sub folders. There isn't anything on user guide. Plain english plz.

3- Can I order pages by folders on content tab? if not, can I make user accounts to see only pages that i want them to see?

Thanks a lot for your time and effort I give up trying to figure it out...

CMSMS does not work within a "folder/subfolder" paradigm.  Page content is stored in the database, not as separate files in a directory structure.

You can create any page hierarchy you want, and you can protect normal text content so that it is only visible and/or editable by certain users.

Protecting images and other types of content is not quite so straightforward.

Mhh I c your point...

But to tell you the truth, I see the content of pages stored in db but the page itself shows on the root folder. They could really make some changes to the code to have paths for pages so instead of tying just the name of the file, we could type
subfolder/name of file.

So what you are telling me, or (or anyone that knows the answer) is that there is no way to create a page with this program that stores the page in a sub-folder already pre-made? Again... I see the content in db but page shows in root.

Thanks in advance for your time  :)

You can give permissions to users, to have a top-level page for them. This will allow them to edit that specific page, and create pages under that page, they wont see or be able to edit other levels pages.

This doesnt work for News, images or other things, but for content-pages, you could create the permission model as above.

no, the page does not show in root.  You might be seeing "index.php", but this page does not contain any of your content.  It is a generic "base" for all of the content "pages" you create.

You can set up hierarchies so that your URLs look like "yoursite.com/directory/page", but the "pages" do not exist as individual files, and the content is still stored in the database.

Your asking for multi-site control and no CMS Made Simple doesn't do that and most likely never will, sorry...
