Tri-lingual website: Menu system

I am going to convert an existing tri-lingual static website to a CMSMS site.

My question is this. Each of the 3 language parts of the site will look exactly the same except for the language itself. However, how can I create individual horizontal or vertical menus, one for each language set and only appearing on that language's pages, and only taking pages that are relevant for that language?

If you see what I mean!!

Sorry, this might not be that clear but I do want to avoid having to use static menus in individual templates if I can avoid it.

Thank you

Martin

My first thought would be to create top-level pages that reflect the language, and then below that the structure for the different languages.

The menu can then be the lang-flags the real menu then starts at level=2, to make that the pages belonging to the selected language.

Thank you Ronnie.

I get the idea about top level pages, one for each language, but I am not too sure how to effect the restriction in the menu system.

See http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 805.0.html for an example. Keep in mind, that the shown UDT there is NOT required for the logic, it only makes sure that a user is linked to his default language, by default...
