Is there any point at which CMS has a limit as to the number of pages within. Or is there reductions in performance when you have over a certain amount of pages per say. Any info or experience on this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently running a company site with around 110 pages but times that by 16 country sites as well so we are heading towards the 2000 pages with new content I'm adding.

Yes, today the limit is the graphical user interface not suited for thousands of pages. Hierarchy+collapse helps a lot.
