I updated our site from 1.6.4 to 1.6.5 and now the print icon does not work.

When clicking on the icon, the site is still using the normal template but the main content disappears. It was working fine with 1.6.4. The print template seems to work fine when using the browsers Print dialog.

This seems to happen only when using {print}. I tried with {oldprint} and the link works now.

I noticed that the print link in the news section work fine.

Not working (print):

Also working (printold):
http://www.domain.com/?print=true&goback=0&js=1

I am experiencing the same issue on all the websites I maintain.

could you try resetting the print-template to default, and see if that fixes the issue...

Extensions -> Printing -> Print template -> Reset to defaults...

Tried that already. No effect.

I also tried clearing the cache after changing back to the default template.

My details on the same problem since I didn't find this post in my search.

It appears to be doing the opposite of what it should be, it's showing all of the template structure except the content instead of showing only the content.  I also tried resetting the template and it didn't work.

Can you please give me an url of a site where I can see this behavior?
I'm trying to reproduce this.

Seen two sites that where failing but resetting the printtemplate solved the problem for me
But another site is just working fine with the old template.

Also tried changing the {print} tag, didn't change a thing...

Resetting the templates - uninstalling the module and re-installing made no change.
{oldprint} works.

Four or five people have attempted to reproduce this problem with no success... to a result of probably around ~12 man hours lost.

Therefore, if this problem is gonna be solved it has to be reproducible.

In order to reproduce the problem we need information.

Please post as much information as possible about your environment.... everything except your passwords would be useful.

If we don't get the information, we can't reproduce the problem.  If we can't reproduce the problem, it isn't gonna get fixed.

I tried to PM you, but the PM wasn't saved to the Outbox. Don't know if you received it, calguy1000.

so far it hasnt been reproduced. It is noticed on your site, and I also saw some js-errors when looking at your mainpage, using IE6.... The other pages which are correct dont have this message, so I dont know if your template is different besides the print-call...

PM sent with the contents of the template where it isn't working.  Is it possible to downgrade just the Print module back to 1.6.4 compatibility?  I am hoping to launch my site this coming weekend and would really like to have the print functionality in place for the launch.

Is there anything that you would like me to test for you to help figure out what might be going on?  Are there any other details you need that would help to reproduce it or debug?

After RonnyK took a look I re-installed the entire package (instead of just the diff) and that worked for me.

so after the full package was overwritten, the print-icon does work again?

If so, then I think that some files werent correctly transferred...
