Hello Everyone,

Myself and a collegue at work are seriously thinking about attending the Geek Moot 2009 conference as we are using the system (which is great by the way!) and I was just want to guage how many people are going to be attending?

There hasn't been alot of activity on this on the geekmoot website which I have been checking every so often so I thought I'd ask all of you guys

I will be attending. Non officially I have heard that there will be at least 20 persons. Although I'm not from the organising commity I would like to emphasize that this is the way to discuss with core developers the direction of CMSMS (if not, then please step in organising commity).
I'm not the one that is preparing the agenda, but it will odd if the following will not be discussed:
- version 1.7
- version >1.7
- Silk framework
- PHP 5.2
- Marketing
- Various modules (I will discuss/explain a number of my modules)
- ...

I will discussing 1.7 and the future.  I won't be discussing Silk, because it's taken a bit of a back-burner for a bit -- I'll explain why, though. 

The roundtable/Q&A on Sunday will really allow the community to discuss with us the direction, etc.  Get your questions/suggestions ready.

Will any of the event by filmed to view online?

There will be a camera there if I remember the discussion correctly, and the talks recorded, for later viewing... as soon as somebody goes in and edits them, shrinks them, and prepares them for web use, yes.

but I don't think everything will be recorded, like the general Q/A sessions, etc.

That's the plan.  I'm still waiting to hear back on the equipment the venue has to see if it's technically possible without too much trouble.

I'm open to a sponsored trip to tape the event with my snazzy Panasonic HD handheld with 5.1 surround sound recording. 

I work a video production house.. and we'd be happy to edit all the footage... graphics and all.. Just a thought and we'd be happy to sponsor that... Let me know if this would be wanted...

That's good to know.  I actually enjoy video production work myself, but if I get into a bind with time, I'll definitely let you know.  Thanks.

Rock on... well yeah let me know for sure.  I did just talked to our senior editor and he was willing to do up to 2 full days of editing in the main studio.. So it's out there..

Good luck with the meet, I was really hoping to make it there.. just never raised the funds for it...

Is there an option to just attend for one day?

You're welcome to come for one day, but I can't change the price for it.  The way it's being priced for us is for the 2 days, not per day.
