FormBuilder: how to define eMail-sender field's value?

Post by Foaly* »

Hello,

i want the sender of every eMail that's sent via my contact form to be the eMail addresse of the user! Using the field "eMail field (from)" seems to be the right way, but doesn't give the possibility to define the standard value of the form field. Is there any solution? Or could this be implemented in the next version?

excuse my bad english! :)

Hello Foaly

There are more topics on this issue. You find them at http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 154.0.html and http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 597.0.html

The latest contribution was 120 days ago, so I'll continue here.

Bottom line: it's a known problem  and it still exists.

The email-sender field contains the email address specified in module CMSmailer.

I maintain a site made with cms TYPO3. There this problem doesn't occur as long as you use a pre-defined field name for the sender's email address. No SPAM problems or security problems there obviously.

Who knows how to get this problem fixed? Preferably without tampering with the php files.

Thanks for your help
I use CMS Made Simple 1.6 "New Caledonia"
