[SOLVED]DIV Footer always at the bottom of the page

Hello All,

I'm trying to get a new website online...but still have some issues with getting the footer on the bottom of the page.
With page I mean PAGE and not screen...

My layout is captured in one box where all the div's are located in.
Furthermore I've one div that fills the screen horizontally as a background for the header.
I'd like to have the same for the footer but I just can't get it work.

I tried using a div with bottom: 0px; but that results in having the div at the bottom of the screen...but I'd like to have it at the bottom of the page! Also tried a body background image positioned at the bottom of the page...but had the same effect.

Globally my layout is build up like this:
1 box that is centered and in the box:
 -header
 -content
 -footer

Since the site is centered, some big ass screens show some space at the left and right side of the site...to fill that up I've made some backgrounds in the same style as that part of the website.
Header works...content works...but I don't know how to do the same with the footer.

This miight all sound difficult and weird...but just have look to clarify all this ;)

Any help or suggestions are appreciated!!

Sticky footer is for when you have a page with very little text/content and want the footer to go to bottom of browser window, imho is a very stupid thing useless, just put more content in or live with it...

It actually sounds like you just want the whole page to be a certain height and always have the footer visible in browser window, also imho a stupid design choice, as long as the footer is below the content and not half way up the page it's good...

All this sticky footer and fixed page height is not necessary and useless, IMHO  ;)...

Well...I solved it.
The design wasn't designed with a fixed height or a little content.

Here's what I did basically:

main div
        header div
        content div
        footer div
close main div
Footer background div

Just have a look and see it for yourself @ http://www.dressuurstal-nijpjes.nl

You fixed it or are you just filling it with enough content so it's almost always at the bottom?
On this page the footer is not sticking at the bottom in FF 3.5.2.

The footer doesn't have to be always at the bottom of the SCREEN.
It's moving with the content so it's always at the bottom of the PAGE.

The bottom of your content panel (the white curved section at the bottom) doesn't line up on most of the pages on FF3.

I'll attach a picture if you need it.
