[SOLVED} Errors with page list view - wrong numbers and self-shifting pages

Hi, I have already searched the forum. But could not find a solution. So I‘d appreciate help and already would thank you for it:
I have just installed two new sites for my customers using CMSMS 1.6.3. (www.selbsthilfebeirat-muenchen.de and www.ve-muenchen.de). On both sides I ran into an error with the page numbers in page list view:
Problem 1 (on both sites):
When I add new pages as child-pages I suddenly get "gaps" in the page numbering. E.g. the expected numbering should be 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4. But what comes up is a page numbering like 1.1, 1.2, 1.5, 1.6.
This does obviously neither affect any function nor the navigational menu (there are no numbers in the menu). But I don't know if it is a serious problem. And when I introduced my customers to the system I got some questions that I simply couldn't answer properly.
The problem can easily be removed by clicking the move-upward-triangles in page list view until everything is in proper order again.
This problem occurs with Firefox under windows and with Safari under Mac (I have not tried others browsers yet).
Problem 2 (only on site www.selbsthilfebeirat-muenchen.de):
When I set up the side on my mac at home using Firefox and Safari I only had problem 1 as described above. But when I introduced the customer to his site and the admin panel a strange second error occured with page list view, too:
The customer has a mac, too, and we used Firefox there. When I showed him how to edit the content of a page and we just edited some text I had him click "Submit" and when we returned to page list view the page now was a child page of another page. I thought I just might not have noticed the customer playing around on the page. So I fixed the problem and had him repeat the text editing. It happened again – and several times again.
We finally switched to Safari where this problem did not occur again. I have no explanation for that. Please help. (A sidenote: With Firefox I couldn't copy and paste anything in TinyMCE ((neither using the right mouse-button nor any icon nor a key-command)) whereas this worked in Safari, too.)
Thanks for helping
Reinhard
