Hosting in the US/Canada

Hey guys,

For a client I am about to launch a newly created CMSMS website, but.. I need it to be hosted in either the US or Canada, since most of his (potential) clients are located in that area. Since I only have experience with Dutch hosting companies, I'm not sure what company I should choose for him (or rather: he should choose).

I've used GoDaddy before, but that is really slow for me (located in The Netherlands).

So my question is, what is an affordable hosting company in either the US or Canada?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Cheers!

Update: I found this one: http://www.2mhost.com/personal-website-hosting.html. It seems very affordable, but I'm not sure about reliability?

This comes from the recommended list of CMSMS hosts under the 'Support' menu.

http://www.widget-it.com/

They're based in New York

Depending on the scope, affordable can mean to pay 5 bucks a month or 50, or 500 or 5,000. It's best if you can supply an upper limit for your hosting needs.

Many European Hosting Companies provide hosting in the US. If you need an US hosting company, that's a different story.

I often chosse the Germany based provider server-loft.de. They do have a centre in St. Luis. You get dedicated machines beginning at ~80€/month. I've only had good experiences so far.

Best
