News problem after 1.6 upgrade

I've recently upgraded from 1.4.1 to 1.6 and the original news styling I had in place would show the posted date and a 'more' link in the news summary. But now it only shows the news title as a link and the summary itself.
Any ideas why this is happening even though my CSS is exactly the same and has not been touched?

You will probably need to update the Summary Template to the previous version in 1.4.

Possibly. But I just read that cmsms 1.6 has a few name changes for some of the entries.
FormatPostDate is now PostDate etc
I made this change and the date shows up, but with the time. lol.
I'll just keep troubleshooting

Yes the date thing has changed, you can get the date to display the way you want if you set the string in site admin...
