WYSIWYG stopped working

I set a CMS Made Simple website for a charity, I'm a bit of a novice. I'm using version 1.4.1. PHP version 5.2.9, MySQL 5.0.81. Running on Linus with Apache. The editor at the charity says that the WYSIWYG editor has recently stopped working. The buttons to make bold etc have all diappeared but the checkbox is still available below the textbox (it is permanently ticked) but when you click it nothing happens. The HTML is showing in the textbox. If you untick this wysiwyg checkbox and then save the page, when you go into it again nothing has happened and the box has been ticked again.

I believe the WYSIWYG is something to do with tinyMCE (sorry I told you I was a novice). I have no idea how this works. The version is 2.4.5.

The editor at the charity says they have done nothing to make it do this. Can someone help us as they really rely on the site and I'm not experienced enough to assist them.

Thanks in advance.

Search on the forum for TinyMCE gone, dissapeared, etc. The solution is to reinstall module. You can also PM/email me the password and I can do it for you.

And you should run 1.6 and keep with version releases.

CMS 1.4.1 is no longer supported.
Please upgrade your install(s) before reporting your next problem.
