cannot edit pages after upgrade to 1.6

Post by davids355 »

I have just upgraded my test cmsmadesimple site to 1.6 from 1.5.3. Did a full upgrade, everything works except that when I go into any of my pages in the admin panel, there is no content box so cannot view or edit any content on any page...??

Already tried re-installing tinyMCE module, that didnt help. Anyone else had this problem>?

- Check System Information
- Try to set chmod 0755
- Try to set static tiny config (look module help)

Hi there,
Was Alby's suggestion the solution to this problem?  I'm having the same issue and I've discovered it's in relation to using the {$captured_content} tag.  When I remove this and just use the standard {content} tag, I get the content box back in the admin.  When the {$captured_content} tag is in the template, the content block in the admin disappears.

Will the {$captured_content} not be supported going forward?

Thanks for your assistance!

Re: cannot edit pages after upgrade to 1.5.4 Carolina

Hi All,

I too have this problem.  I upgraded an old script to 1.5.4 and everything else works fine.  When I click the html version of the TinyMCE I can edit the page.  When it it is in the WYSIWG view any changes I type in do not save when I click the apply or submit button.  I uninstalled TinyMCE, deleted the files from the modules folder, and reinstalled the latest version.  I cleared the cache.  I have checked the CHMOD and I have restored the defauls in TINYMCE and then switched on the static config in the advanced settings and cleared the cache again.  Still no joy.

Anyone found a solution to this issue?

Regards, Jenny
