Hi,

I'm (still) using R0.11.2 and am encountering some limitations with current News module (2.0.1) [publication time, having multiple RSS feeds).

Can I SVN my local disk "mirror" to current version, extract the current News code only, and upload it to my production server ? Would this work - and not break everything, or should I wait for and install a full 0.12 ?

You should definitely wait.  We're so close to a release already.  Just need to talk with the rest of the team today to figure out exactly what is left to do.
