CMS Made Simple Forums

I'm still nok sure if I want to use cms made simple, or wordpress for my website. So I would like to change from cmsms to wordpress now that I have learned more abaout html and css, to see if I want another solution. (When I first startet I started with wordpress, but didn't understand it, so I changed to cmsms instead.)

I would then need to make a copy of all my content, but I don't know how to do it. I would like it to be easy to change it back to cmsms with all the content (and the looks) the site has now, after trying wordpress again.

What should I do? How do I make a copy of the whole site like it is now? How do I change to wordpress again, who I belive I didn't delete when I downloaded cmsms?

Thanks if someone would help me, even it's not just about cmsms.

In my experience, Wordpress is excellent if your site is primarily a blog, with just a bit of other content.  If your site is primarily other content, with a blog as one component, then I would recommend CMSMS or some other content management system.

To my knowledge, there is no easy way to convert from CMSMS to WP or back.  To create a backup of all your content, simply to a database dump.  You'll find instructions in the documentation.  There may be an automated way to bring this dump into WP, but I don't think so.  Likewise, once you get your site set up in WP, you can dump the db, but there is no easy way to bring it back to CMSMS.  The database schemas are completely different.
